COVID-19 Important Updates, March 18

The following measures are being taken in response to the COVID-19 situation.

Until April 30, the Bute Street Clinic is closed. The BCCDC advises people seeking STI services to phone 604.707.5603 to determine if they can be seen at an alternate location.

QMUNITY will also close to walk-ins for the time being. We will maintain email and telephone services, Hours may be erratic at times. Volunteers will not come to the office. Staff will work from home and, to a more limited extent, at the office. Hours may be erratic at times.

All group programming, including all peer support groups, will close. We will phone facilitators over the next few days to talk about whether they might have other alternatives to group meetings.

Low Cost Counselling clients should contact their counsellor regarding upcoming appointments.

We will continue to offer the following supports:

  • Information and referral – we will staff the phone and email service as much as possible, and will return messages within 24 hours.
  • Low cost counseling – new referrals can be accepted.
  • Seniors – phone and email contact and support.
  • Youth – phone and email contact and support.

If community members have requests or ideas for other ways in which we can be helpful, please let us know.

We do not know how long these measures will be required. In the meantime, we urge everyone to take appropriate measures to be safe and healthy! We will continue to post information and hope to stay connected.
