Forum for LGBTQ2+ trainers and facilitators

April 17, 2018

QMUNITY is excited to bring together LGBTQ2+ trainers and facilitators from across BC for a gathering to share best practices, resources, network and build community this summer! Do you consider yourself or your agency a leader in providing LGBTQ2+ safety training?

Get in touch with Joel our Education & Training Coordinator at [email protected] to be a part of this exciting 2-day forum! Dates are to be confirmed.

Education can be a powerful tool, and our friends at GSHI want to study how effective and powerful LGBTQ2+ competency training for health care and service provider professionals can result in better health outcomes for queer, trans, and Two-Spirit folk. We also know that educational opportunities and health outcomes can vary from urban to rural or remote settings, so our goal is to help build capacity across the province for trainers and facilitators, especially those working outside of the Lower Mainland.

With thanks to our generous funders and partners, including GSHI, Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research and UBC’s Community-University Engagement Support Funding.
